The Tiger Generational Scholarship
The Tiger Generational Scholarship has been established by the FHSU Alumni Association to provide financial assistance to descendants of FHSU alumni. Funds are generated through a number of venues, including the Tiger T-shirt Project and sale of Tiger license tags. The scholarship recipient shall be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in any curriculum with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students who are children or grandchildren (step-children, adopted, etc.) of FHSU alumni.
The Legacy Scholarship
The Fort Hays State University Legacy Scholarship Program was established to honor the legacy of its alumni while supporting the exceptional educational environment provided by the University. Such programs continue the legacy of the FHSU tradition by providing scholarships to academically talented children of FHSU graduates who are members of the FHSU Alumni Association.
All new first-time freshman, non-resident students living outside of Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Nebraska, who meet the designated criteria, are eligible for consideration. The individual awards will be $5,000 per academic year, renewable up to four years, or $20,000 total. Applicants must have an ACT composite score of 21 or higher or equivalent score on the SAT; legal children or dependents, including adopted or stepchildren of FHSU graduates who are current dues-paying members of the FHSU Alumni Association; must apply for admission to Fort Hays State University as degree seeking undergraduates; and must enroll in 12 or more on-campus undergraduate credit hours in both fall and spring semesters. Children of deceased FHSU Alumni Association members are also eligible if the alumnus was a dues paying member of the Association at the time of his or her death.
